MDS is 230k across 5 stages this year with 7k charity stage 6.

Five stages totalling about 230 km will be on the agenda of the 28th SULTAN MARATHON DES SABLES. The keenly awaited course of dunes, ergs and dry oueds will feed the dreams of around a thousand committed runners from fifty countries in the world.
But this year a new feature will be introduced in the final stage, the “Charity” stage, with profits going to Unicef. Sponsors, the media, friends and families will be invited to run seven kilometres through the Moroccan dunes in exchange for a financial donation made to Unicef and Solidarité MARATHON DES SABLES.

Thanks to everyone who came along. Hopefully you got something useful out of the day and its always good to put faces to people we've been dealing with in the run-up to events like this.

A very worthwhile day out......learned a few things....had a few more reaffirmed.....and passed the medical and ECG which was by far the most important thing.......got to try out the new bits of kit now plus the Mountain House food
