Exclamation Volunteers to tidy-up forums? And any ideas about making info easy to find?

We've got loads of useful info on the forum now as regards all aspects of ultra running, but its getting very difficult to find. We're therefore looking for some volunteers to do a bit of spring-cleaning on the place. With the mds coming round again, its obvious that info is hard to find due to some of the questions that keep cropping up. No fault of the people asking them, just my shoddy, untidy forums to blame....

One idea that was suggested is to compile FAQs about kit, training, race prep etc which will link to topics, serving as an index as well as directly answering faqs. We've started some of these, but they need work.

Also, if you have any ideas about how best to organise these, please speak up now.

Anyone interested, just reply here and we can upgrade your user rights. Those of you with user-rights, if you have some time on your hands (here's looking at you Sparky), then your help would be much appreciated
    Cheers,

    Mike.

    Hi Mike,
It also looks like you have virus type getting in to Private Messages, Xandermaan?? plus another with same title sentence which also cropped up on beyondmarathon.com private messages.
Good re Forum 'clean up' it was getting a bit like same questions/answers every few months.
Still got the POPE and snow scene at top of the forum pages?? both things are too depressing to endure for more than 2seconds!!!
    Adios

    Mike

How about someone takes on one of the topic and has a rumage around and removes anything thats not current or they feel is not relivent. If you wish I will take on other race topic.
If your feeling good during an ultra dont worry it will pass?

    Cheers

I'll the navigation training thread and anything related to nav and nav kit.

Any others you want me to do just ask and I'll dive in.
Did the "Big beach holiday" in 09, £3000 self catering, camping and no transport provided. And yes the tide did come in! .

That's generally down to the cache on your computer, mines been back to normal for a while now. Clearing the cache will solve the problem or hold down the ctrl button and hit F5.
