Talk Ultra. Note a jebel is a mountain an erg is a big sand dune I see at least 5 mountains en route that will be climbed. i always think if its shorter it will be reflected with more climbing.

1st leg – 37.2k Undulating terrain, interspersed with small ergs representing 5km of small dunes (dunettes).
2nd leg – 30.7km 3 djebels with 10 to 25% gradients – exceptional panoramic views.

Five stages totalling about 230 km will be on the agenda of the 28th SULTAN MARATHON DES SABLES. The keenly awaited course of dunes, ergs and dry oueds will feed the dreams of around a thousand...

MDS is 230k across 5 stages this year with 7k charity stage 6.

Probably travel on the day ECG and medical too. Are they just fitted in whenever during the day?
