I need your help please? I have entered the 2012MDS and would like to start researching and trying various bits of kit etc. I come up to Merthyr twice a month, can I pop in and try on a few back packs etc? How far is likeys from Merthyr? Also can you give me a steer on best backpacks? and sleeping bags come to that? Thanks Mark D

I take it the 6633 isn't the Yukon race that is on at the moment? Team member Salvador Ribot, who is also doing Al Andalus, is out in the Yukon at the moment but I think it may be a German 'production'. By the way, he is using the PT-03 Winter shoe so it will be interesting to see his report. I am sure it (and the DESERT) are both shoes you could sell at Likeys.
Maybe see you in July or for A lo Bestia maybe?

Many thanks for your useful gaiter advice.

Why do the long silk gaiters remain attached whereas the short silk ones come away from shoes via the velcro fixing? What sort of attachment is on the long silk ones? Why do they have different attachments?
