I've been looking at some of the UK ultra races including the new Round the Rock in Jersey for next year in preparation for the 2013 MdS. What other races have people done before in training for it? Anyone else looking at any good ones?

    I actually took part in Round the Rock this year as I live in Jersey :) Was a great race and a great intro to ultra racing for me. Since then I have done the Jersey Marathon in October, am planning to do the Andurancelife Dorset Marathon in December, the 3 day Endurancelife Jurrassic Coast Challenge in March, the Cardiff Ultra in May and then Round the Rock again in August, with a few more marathon interspered with that. I have decided that the next year and a half is about building towards the 2013 MDS so plan on getting into the best shape that I can...
    As for heat acclimatisation, not sure about that one yet! :)

    Could be a good one to consider!
